volcanoes and serves as a sanctuary for an estimated 20 000 animals, including the
threatened black Rhino.

The Leirai Forest -meaning 'fever tree' - grows on the incredibly steep slopes, giving way
to grassy plains and lakes. This Eden is a delicately balanced wilderness where survival
of the fittest is definitely the order of the day.
