Undisputed in its majesty, this free standing mountain is the highest peak
in Africa.
It lives forever in the hearts of those who have climbed it
|

|
A variety of vegetation belts contribute to its splendor, with
cultivated lands at the base, moving on to dense rain forest populated by elephant,
leopards and buffalo. As the ascent continues, forest gives way to open heath and
moorland, which in turn, dwindle into alpine desert, culminating in glacier capped peaks.
